Second forum “Community” of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation to take place in Novosibirsk
On April 14-15, the second of nine forums of proactive citizens and non-governmental organizations “Community” will take place in Novosibirsk (104 Stantsionnaya St.). It will be attended by over 500 civic activists and NGO representatives from all regions of the Siberian Federal District.
“Civic activists and NGO representatives working on the spot in the regions of Siberia will get a chance to tell about the issues they encounter in their work and propose their possible solutions at a special panel discussion “Third sector and government: a roadmap for NGOs development”. Their proposals will be reviewed, with the best ones to be included in the annual report of Russia’s Civic Chamber to the President of Russia on the state of civil society”, Alexander Brechalov, President of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, said.
In addition to the roadmap elaboration, the Forum will host a series of panel discussions and round tables that will focus on the best practices of civic engagement, tell about their problems and meet colleagues from their own and other regions to find joint solutions to their problems. Also, leaders of major regional and federal projects will hold master classes on activities critical for social projects (e.g. involvement of volunteers into work, crowdfunding, communication with governmental agencies and business companies) specially for NGOs representatives and civic activists.
Forum’s experts are Co-Chairman of the Central HQ of the All-Russian People’s Front, President of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation Alexander Brechalov, Chairwoman of the Commission on Public Control, Public Expert Examination and Cooperation with Public Councils Lidia Mikheyeva, Vice Chairman of the Commission on Security and Liaison with Public Watchdog Committees Dmitry Chugunov, specialists in the fields of communication and development of civil society institutions, authors and leaders of major regional and federal projects.
In 2015, the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation is going to hold “Community” forums in each federal district. Forums’ main mission is to get feedback from civic activists and NGOs about the state of the third sector in Russia and include proposals of proactive citizens into the roadmap for development of civil society in this country.
